Almost done.....not

By fall 1997 the car was 95% complete, (or so I thought) with a fresh new engine, transmission and paint. I was anxious to get the car on the road and so I did. I drove it to a limited degree without an interior sitting on a pillow just to see how it ran. While this was fun at 30 miles per hour, I needed seats and seat belts to see what this puppy could really do. So off to the upholstery shop it went for a new interior.

While I had done some very minor work to the suspension such as replacing the old lever shocks with tube shocks, the suspension and chassis were largely stock and as a result the car was squirrelly and did not perform as well as I wanted it to. Well it looked pretty and it was time to do some fine tuning to make it hook up better and purr like a kitty.
