More power
OK, what kind of an engine do you put in a 1500 pound car? A V6? A Mazda rotary engine? A late model TPI,
quiet and smooth? Nooooo. I wanted pure testosterone, remember this is my mid life crisis I am working on here.
Step aside Tim Allen, I need more power. This little beast was going to have a big blower sticking high above
the front of the car.
I ordered A freshly built professionally balanced Chevy small block, then I called B&M and ordered a brand new Blower.
The engine was built to B&M’s recommended specs for their 250 supercharger
The engine was fitted with TRW forged pistons, a bad boy Crane cam, a Mallory unilite ignition and twin Demon
carburetors measuring 1250 cfm. Ugh, ugh, ugh.
On paper this engine produces over 500 HP. I fitted the engine with a tricked out Turbo Hydro 350 transmission
and a 3,000 rpm stall speed torque converter. A new drive shaft was built and balanced to fuse the 18 inches
between the Chevy transmission with the Ford rear-end.
